Success Story of a Handicapped Girl in Kinshasa, Congo

Kanga Nzumba is one of the students sponsored by Restore A Child at Othniel High School in Kinshasa, Congo, where we partner with Foundation for Africa from Hungary since 2007. She has polio, uses a crutch and cannot wear shoes until her deformed feet are corrected by surgery. In her society disabled people are discriminated and abandoned.

Kanga did not give up on education and did not want to stay at home. Restore A Child believes in gender equality which allows Kanga to continue her 10th grade and finish high school so she can have a better future. Kanga is intelligent and is one of the top students in her class.
