"Great Joy" Born in the City of David

Dear Friend,

As we approach Christmas, the words of Isaiah foretell the arrival of the Messiah who will bring redemption and hope to a world in need of deliverance. The words "unto us a son is given" describes the nature of this gift. It describes the relationship between humanity and this promised child.

Feeding the hungry is crucial. The World Bank states: "There is more than enough food produced in the world to feed everyone on the planet. Yet 733 million people still go hungry..."

As I reflect on the words of Jesus "he who is greatest among you, shall be your servant," I can declare that my journey of 25 years was that of servanthood to the "least of these" even when met with disappointments from friends in the church. But nothing could deter me from the vision I had to help children, orphan children, facing scourging injustices. Dr. Michael Greger, M.D., wrote "Being Good by Doing Good... Donating time and money isn’t just good for the world, it may also be good for our health. How Generosity May Help You Be Happier and Live Longer ."

When the festivities of the Season of Love and Giving, are over, it is up to us to keep the flame of hope burning in the hearts of children, so they too, can aspire to dream and fulfill their dreams. YOU, our faithful donors, are making their dreams come true, one dream at a time. Remember God gave us The Gift Without Wrapping compared to the $2 Billion we in America will spend on Christmas wrapping that ends in the dumpster. With that money we can feed all the hungry people in the whole world.

Members of our Board of Directors join me in gratitude, and wish you and your family a Peaceful and Merry Christmas.

Norma
